I think this is my favourite so far. I was trying different settings and tried aperture priority and this was the result

I found this small feather, by accident, and I think it is from a downey woodpecker.

The coin is a Canadian penny, the feather was about 1/4 inch long

Do like the snakes, shed your entire skin, including eye lids.

Snakes out grow thier skins and they need to be shed. This skin is abour 5 feet long and belonged to a fox snake.

Darwin at work. MY food source, back off!
We have been woodpecker central recently, lots of recently fledged woodpeckers coming in to feed.
We have had at least 6 hummingbirds swarming a feeder as well.

Hope you don't have to fight for your food on the weekend.

To my American friends, have a happy Fourth.
