I had to look up the actual quote. For years I thought it was "ALas poor Yorick, I knew him well."
Evidentley this racoon didn't make it throught the winter.

Darwin at Work
Sometimes age, testosterone and alcohol aren’t the best mix.
It often ends up with a comment along the lines of “it seemed like a good idea at the time.”
These stout fellows decided to go for a polar bear style swim.
The ice was still in the marina, so they used the handy rocks lining the boat basin to try to break the ice.
The marina owner eventually came along and threw them out.
This guy got style points for the lean.
After talking to them I could only shake my head. Two of them couldn’t swim.
Never do anything you don’t want to explain to the paramedics.

A bird in the hand...
is messier than one in the tree.
We saw this bird at a rehab centre. It was brought in after hitting a window.

There are some gravestones/ monuments that grab ones attention.
This is in Sandusky Ohio and has been for sale for at least 3 years.

Touch down
The herons have started nesting in a tree along the bay.
There area at least 7 pairs, and they were flying in with nest building material.
They do look odd up there.

Phoebe
We went for a walk last night before the rain started.
