White crowned sparrow
We went to a compost pile a few miles from where we live to try to find a Harris sparrow which had been seen in the area. The harris is a rare bird in Sout western Ontario.
While we were waiting this white crowned posed so nicely I had to take his photo.

Water please.
We have water for the birds in the mild seasons but it can be hard to provide water in the winter.
We bought a vegtable serving tray, the kind with 4 or 5 sections at the dollar store.
It's easy to clear the ice out, just like an ice cube tray, and add water from a jug.
The birds love it.

Catzilla meets the deer
